Special accommodations can be made for children with allergies and diet restrictions. Please notify the Camp of any special circumstances during the registration process in order that we may have time to make the necessary arrangements.
Yes, however, all campers must be independent in activities of daily living.
Yes! To obtain information about our sponsorship program, please complete one registration form per camper and return it with the $25 registration fee per camper with some proof of income (i.e. last year’s tax return). Camperships for children with Diabetes come from various sources, including the American Diabetes Association. Camp Glyndon at Lions Camp Merrick is supported by the American Diabetes Association. However, the American Diabetes Association is not responsible for the actions of Lions Camp Merrick.
The Deaf/HOH/KODA Program accepts children, siblings, and friends ages 6-16. The Diabetes Family Session accepts children ages 5-16 and their families, up to 4 persons total. The Diabetes Program accepts children with diabetes who are ages 6-16. Applications will be taken on a first come, first served basis.
The Camp Glyndon Diabetes Program combines traditional summer camp activities with ongoing education of campers to achieve some degree of management independence.
Camp Glyndon has relocated to Lions Camp Merrick in Nanjemoy, Maryland under the name, “Camp Glyndon at Lions Camp Merrick”.
