Camp Programs

Lions Camp Merrick offers non-stop fun for children who are Deaf, Blind or are Type 1 Diabetic and are between the ages 6-16.   Campers will participate in a “traditional overnight camp” experience supervised by trained and     caring counselors.    We also offer Family Diabetic Camp  and Sibling Diabetic Camp for our type 1 diabetic campers and their family members.  During Family Camp diabetic campers and their family members ages 5 and up may attend camp.  All youth campers will stay in gender and age appropriate cabins.  Adults stay in the “Mom” or “Dad” cabins.  During Sibling Camp, our type 1 diabetic campers and their sibling ages 6-16 will attend camp as usual, with the exception of our Educational Session, the diabetic campers will attend  Diabetic  ED Sessions while their siblings attend Sibling ED Sessions.
